DevOps Engineer

Position Summary
  • Location: Remote / Department: Engineering / Type: Full Time Permanent
  • We're looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in building, deploying, and maintaining our secure and scalable SaaS platform.

Position Responsibilities

This role will be expected to perform the following functions and duties within the organization:

  • Design, develop, and implement secure infrastructure for our SaaS platform, leveraging cloud technologies (AWS)
  • Automate the software delivery lifecycle (CI/CD) for rapid and reliable deployments
  • Integrate security best practices into the DevOps pipeline, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code analysis
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments
  • Develop strong and scalable data pipelines
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and high availability
  • Continuously improve DevOps processes and tools for increased efficiency and scalability
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for managing and provisioning infrastructure

Desired Experience

To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role (3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and elasticsearch
  • Experience with data pipeline (Kafka)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of security best practices (OWASP Top 10, secure coding principles)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus qualifications

Candidates will stand out if they possess any of the following bonus qualifications and skills:

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
